Migration from on-premise WALLIX Bastion

IMPORTANT

This procedure is designed for a single-phase migration, where all users and targets are transitioned to WALLIX One PAM in one go. For a more gradual or phased migration approach, please reach out to the WALLIX team for tailored assistance.

If you already have a WALLIX Bastion installed in your premises and want to move to WALLIX One PAM, follow the steps below:

WARNING

The migration procedure requires a Bastion version 10.0 or higher. If you are using an older version, you must upgrade your on-premises Bastion to version 10.0 or above before initiating the migration.

1. Deployment phase: Similar to a classic WALLIX One PAM deployment
2. Migration phase:
   1. Collect data from your on-premise WALLIX Bastion
   2. Share data with WALLIX
   3. Complete configuration
   4. Validate migration success

IMPORTANT

WALLIX strongly recommends disabling all secret rotation workflows (scheduled rotation, check-in rotation, manual rotation) in the on-prem deployment to prevent any desynchronization during the migration.
