Migrate Scenario

This scenario is intended for existing customers with an on-premises WALLIX PAM deployment who want to take advantage of all the benefits of WALLIX One PAM.

IMPORTANT

This scenario is designed for a single-phase migration, where all users and targets are transitioned to WALLIX One PAM in one go. For a more gradual or phased migration approach, please reach out to the WALLIX team for tailored assistance.

Scenario steps

This deployment consists of two main phases:

1. Deployment phase that is similar to the previous scenario
2. Migration phase managing data collection and transfer to WALLIX One PAM. In details:
   1. Data collection
   2. Data sharing with WALLIX
   3. Configuration completion
   4. Migration validation

Timeline

Depending on project teams availability, this scenario can be completed within 2 to 5 weeks.

Service interruption

Technically, no service interruption is required for this scenario. However, an interruption may be planned by the customer or the partner's project management. The on-prem solution can remain in production until the entire migration project is completed.

IMPORTANT

WALLIX strongly recommends disabling all secret rotation workflows (scheduled rotation, check-in rotation, manual rotation) in the on-prem deployment to prevent any desynchronization during the migration.
